On Tuesday word hit the web that Zac Efron secretly entered rehab several months ago not for alcohol abuse, but a cocaine addiction.
An insider tells Extreme Entertainment that the gossip is unfortunately true. A party buddy of Zac’s reveals exclusively to Extreme Entertainment that the former High School Musical hunk would throw parties at his Hollywood home where Zac and his posse would “do lines on the beer pong table at his house, and would sometimes go into the bathroom and do lines of coke off the toilet seat cover.” Our insider continues, “I would party with them and there was always cocaine around and he was definitely doing it.”
A source told E! that the the 25-year-old is doing better and taking time to focus on work.
“He realized he needed outside help,” a friend tells Us Weekly. “He reached out for it and is doing great now.”
Extreme Entertainment has reached out to the actor’s rep for comment but has yet to reply.
