For weeks now, ESPN has been highly touting the Thursday night Sports Center anchoring guest appearance by legendary anchorman Ron Burgundy….rather Will Ferrell in character in his classic role that he’s reprising in the long-awaited sequel Anchorman 2.
The announcement came Wednesday night after officials in Florida scheduled a news conference for Thursday afternoon regarding charges in sexual assault allegations against Jameis Winston. He’s the star quarterback of the NCAA top-ranked Florida State Seminoles and a leading Heisman Trophy candidate. In other words…it’s BIG sports news.
We hope ESPN reschedules “Ron’s” appearance, because if this interview with Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning is any indication…this was going to be one hilarious edition of Sports Center.
