Three weeks to the day after she went into surgery for a double mastectomy following a positive diagnosis for breast cancer, Amy Robach made her triumphant return to Good Morning America Thursday.
Filling in for entertainment reporter Lara Spencer, Robach said she was “so excited when the alarm went off this morning” because “you need some sense of normalcy, you need your schedule back even if it starts this early”
She begins four months of chemotherapy on December 16th but mentioned “I saw Robin (Roberts - GMA‘s cohost and follow breast cancer survivor) do it, I know how strong you were.”
She added that this year at Thanksgiving when her family went around the table noting what they were thankful for on the holiday, Amy said she uttered words
