According to the British tabloid, “One Direction insiders say he has become a ‘virtual stranger’ to the rest of the group – and the atmosphere when they reunite will be toxic.”
“The bad blood stems from the rest of the group’s suspicions that Styles is planning to go solo after four years in the band,” claims Daily Star, which further alleges the performer “has barely spoken to any members of 1D in the past three months.”
A so-called “band-insider” is quoted as saying, “It’s as if Harry isn’t part of the group. It’s going to come to a head now because for the first time in months they are going to be spending every day together as they rehearse for this summer’s tour.”
“The boys want reassurances from Harry that he’s in the group for the long haul. They won’t let him just use them for his own career ambitions. They want to know what’s really going on,” the supposed source tells Daily Star.
The paper goes on to repeat the already-debunked claims that Styles “is desperate to break into movies,” with its “insider” saying, “It’s like he has two separate lives now. One in America and his work with the band.”
That’s funny, since Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson were just in America themselves, working with Good Charlotte.
Anyway, the alleged Daily Star snitch adds, “Now he’s going to come back in and act like they are all best mates again? It’s unlikely!”
What’s actually “unlikely” is Styles leaving One Direction any time soon — no matter how many times the outlet tries to peddle the claim.
