Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney took the L.A. subway to Monday’sEmmy Awards – with the late-night host also honoring the lateRobin Williams in style.

“I think I might take the subway to the #Emmys @metrolosangeles,” Kimmel tweeted before the awards show.
He wasn’t kidding.
Soon after his initial tweet, Kimmel and McNearney were posing for a photo at the subway station (see below).
“On our way to the #Emmys UNDERGROUND,” he captioned the Instagram pic.
Kimmel also pointed out his rainbow suspenders — similar to the ones worn by Williams on “Mork & Mindy.”
“Blue line to #Emmys #Mork,” he wrote, showing off the colorful accessory (see above and below).
After public transportation got him to the Emmys, Kimmel hit the stage to poke fun of Matthew McConaughey and introduce the nominees for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
