Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus “Battle” At Chelsea Finale Made Up By HollywoodLife

HollywoodLife, which has liedabout Selena Gomez andMiley Cyrus for years, used the “Chelsea Lately” finale as an excuse to run a bogus story about the two stars being at war with each other.
Here’s what happened.
Chelsea Handler concluded her long E! talk show run on Tuesday with a celeb-filled farewell sing-along.
Gomez and Cyrus both took part in the event.
Because they happened to be standing three people apart for the song, HollywoodLife decided it means they’re feuding.
“They ended up having a SUPER awkward moment on live television!” shrieks the webloid, lying.
But there was no awkward moment.
There was… there was nothing controversial at ALL here.
Gomez and Cyrus weren’t standing next to each other.
That is literally the entire story.
But HollywoodLife, which spent recent months manufacturing a phony Gomez-Taylor Swift feud, apparently wants to drive traffic to its site by getting different fan bases riled up and hating each other.
Hence, this mess:
“Sorry, Selenators and Smilers — it looks like the battle rages on! That said, when Chelsea announced that she would be making a donation to Miley’s charity, My Friend’s Place, Selena did clap and smile for her old friend. Perhaps there’s still a chance for them?”
Seriously, what the hell does any of that even mean?
So their “battle” was raging on because they stood three people away from each other, but there’s a chance for reconciliation because Gomez clapped for Cyrus’ charity?
This is what happens when an outlet tries to write a story about a non-controversy, deciding beforehand to make it a controversy.
We’re guessing someone at HollywoodLife noticed that Gomez and Cyrus were at Handler’s finale — and told someone else to find a way of making it seem like there was a “battle” or “awkward run-in.”
The fact that there was no “battle” or “awkward run-in”?
Not important to HollywoodLife.
Somehow, the blog is getting worse and worse, and we didn’t think it was possible.
A production source tells Extreme Entertainment there was no trouble between Gomez and Cyrus on the show, laughing off the HollywoodLife report.
