Jonathan Dwyer Arrested For Domestic Violence — Latest NFL Player Facing Charges

Jonathan Dwyer of the Arizona Cardinals was arrested for domestic violence on Wednesday.
Dwyer was pulled from the team’s practice and brought to police headquarters in Phoenix, according to local reports.
The running back, who is married and has a son, was reportedly charged with aggravated assault causing a fracture and preventing someone from calling 911.
According to TMZ, Dwyer became physical with his wife on July 21 and 22 at their Phoenix home.
An investigation was launched on September 11, after which police had enough probable cause to the make the arrest.
The police report also names the couple’s 18-month-old child as a victim, says the site.
Additional charges reportedly include aggravated assault involving a minor and criminal damage.
His bust is the latest in a wave of abuse cases involving NFL players, including former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice’selevator assault of his then-fiancee and Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson’s beating of his young son.
Earlier on Wednesday, Greg Hardy of the Carolina Panthers was put on the league’s commissioner exempt list until the resolution of his own domestic violence case.
