Waka Flocka Flame was arrested on Friday after officials detected a handgun in his carry-on bag at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, Extreme Entertainment has learned.
According to Atlanta police, a scan revealed the weapon when the rapper tried to take his luggage through airport security.
The gun was allegedly loaded at the time it was discovered by airport security.
Waka, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, did not have a permit for the gun.
He was arrested and charged with carrying a weapon in a prohibited place.
Waka Flocka is currently behind bars in the Clayton County jail and awaiting a bond hearing.
