Afroman punched a woman who got too close to him on stage at a concert on Tuesday. The shocking video of the “Because I Got High” rapper punching out the Biloxi, Mississippi concertgoer has now gone viral. Watch it below.
In the footage, Afroman is playing guitar when he senses someone behind him, swings and hits her, knocking his victim to the ground, and then nonchalantly goes back to performing. Police eventually cut the show short, took him off stage, and arrested him for assault. Afroman was released on a $330 bond.
Following the incident, a rep for Afroman tried to explain his actions in a statement: “This was a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space. It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces.” The rep also blamed the venue for failing to have sufficient security measures to keep fans off the stage.
