Iggy Azalea Responds To T.I. Ending Professional Relationship

Iggy Azalea responded on Thursday to T.I.announcing in a radio interview that he’ll no longer be working with her on a professional level. According to the Australian rapper, this was the first of her hearing about it.
While a guest on “Ebro in the Morning,” T.I. revealed that he had cut professional ties with Azalea, who at one point was signed to his Grand Hustle label. He said the rift came as a result of her Twitter feuds with Azealia Banks and Q-Tip, whom she had argued with about the appropriation of black culture. T.I. explained that he smoothed the situation over, but “after it was cool… [Iggy’s team] kind of came back and undid what I had just [done].” As a result, the rapper said that he and Azalea “took a bit of a rest stop.”
Shortly after the interview, Azalea, whose career was vastly helped by T.I.’s mentoring, tweeted, “Heres the deal, I am still signed to @tip and do business with him. The first ive heard of us having an ‘issue’ is via a radio interview.” She added, “Personally, i dont think the radio is the place to talk about your personal issues with someone thats part of your team.” But Azalea went on to explain that she isn’t out of sorts over the situation, noting, “Im sure tip will publicly clarify what he meant when he feels he has the right platform to do so and other than that, im chillin.”
