Amber Heard: LAPD Lying To Protect Johnny Depp

Amber Heard is reportedly accusing the Los Angeles Police Department of lying to protect Johnny Depp.
As Extreme Entertainment has reported, Heard won a temporary restraining order against Depp last Friday, after accusing him of being abusive throughout their marriage. She specifically alleged he threw an iPhone at her face earlier this month, leaving a visible bruise, and broke objects around their apartment. Police were called to the scene, but left after Heard declined to give a statement.
The LAPD has since said they did not see any evidence of a physical dispute. But on Tuesday morning, Heard’s attorneys released a statement contradicting that. As Extreme Entertainment reported, the lawyers said, “The LAPD officers viewed not only the disarray that Johnny had caused in the apartment but also the physical injuries to Amber’s face.
The LAPD, however, maintains that was not the case, and that the two cops did not see any “disarray” or “physical injuries.” Now TMZ is reporting that Heard believes the police are lying to protect Depp. It’s not clear, however, why she thinks they would do that.
Heard’s camp reportedly is also alternately suggesting that the LAPD simply didn’t see the facial injury, with the bruise allegedly worsening the next day, and that they didn’t get a look inside the couple’s residence. So far, though, the LAPD is still sticking to its original stance. But as Heard has now decided to file a statement, it’s likely the case will be looked at more closely. Extreme Entertainment reached out to Heard’s rep for comment on these claims, but did not immediately hear back.
