Calvin Harris, OneRepublic Song “Walking On The Sun” Is FAKE (AUDIO)

A supposed collaboration between Calvin Harris and OneRepublic was released on Tuesday, but both artists have revealed they have nothing to do with the song, calling it “fake.” Listen to the track below.
A dance song titled “Walking On The Sun,” purported to be a joint effort by the deejay and rock band, was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday. Shortly after the song hit, however, OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder tweeted, “FYI to whoever leaked the ‘@CalvinHarris featuring OneRepublic’ song — It ain’t me singing. Would gladly collab in the future but it’s fake.”
Harris responded to Tedder’s tweet soon after, also confirming he had no involvement in the track. The musician wrote, “Btw it’s def not my music either. big up Ryan.” The OneRepublic singer then wrote back, “ha!!!! I figured. People gonna do what they do. [Writing] fake [sh*t]. [Big ups] to u too man.”
The Scottish EDM star and American rocker clearly have a mutual admiration for one another, so there’s still a chance there will be a real collaboration between them at some point in the future, but “Walking On The Sun” simply isn’t it. And for now, it remains unclear who really is responsible for the song. Listen to the track below.
