Ariana Grande performed “Into You” on TV for the first time at Sunday’s 2016 Billboard Music Awards. Check out the video below!
While some may have expected Grande to sing “Dangerous Woman” or “Be Alright,” the singer gave fans a heads-up on Saturday. “Excited to be performing my second single off DW, #IntoYou at the @BBMAs tomorrow. Video ‘soon,'” she tweeted.
As Extreme Entertainment has reported, Grande’s Dangerous Woman album dropped in full on Friday. That morning, she kicked off the “GMA” Summer Concert Series with a live performance in Central Park. There she sang not just the title track and “Be Alright,” but “Greedy” as well.
It’s likely Dangerous Woman will debut atop the Billboard 200 albums chart, despite competition from Blake Shelton. In fact, when informed on Saturday that his own new album was ranking below hers, the country superstar amusingly tweeted, “I feel like I’d be upset if I didn’t love @ArianaGrande so much!!! Damn it why does [she] have to kick ass!!”
As for the BBMAs, Grande went into tonight nominated for Top Female Artist, along with Adele, Selena Gomez, Rihanna and Taylor Swift. She also scored a nod for Top Social Media Artist. Watch full video of the “It’s You” performance below!
