Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s divorce was not over a baby, despite a new report. Extreme Entertainment can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “untrue.”
According to the repeatedly discredited RadarOnline, Heard and Depp split up as a result of “fights over expanding their family.” The webloid then trots out a supposed “insider,” who says the celebrity couple was at “odds” with one another because Heard wanted a baby, and he had no desire to be “an old dad.” The outlet’s so-called “source” adds that Depp was somewhat open to “adopting a kid that’s 8 or 9,” but Heard wanted a biological child of her own.
Extreme Entertainment is told Depp “adores” children, and that the webloid’s claim is wrong about them splitting because Heard allegedly wanted a baby and he had no interest in more kids. Our insider, however, would not divulge what ultimately tore the two apart. Still, Extreme Entertainment is reassured that RadarOnline’s allegations are “untrue.”
Meanwhile, a rep for Depp says, “Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.” The spokesperson continued, “Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
As we have previously noted, Depp has two kids, Lily Rose and Jack, whom he had with his longtime partner Vanessa Paradis. Depp and Paradis split in 2012, the same year he met Heard on the set of their film The Rum Diary.
