Josh And Anna Duggar In Marriage Counseling – See Statement

Josh and Anna Duggar are in marriage counseling to strengthen their relationship in the wake of his disturbing sex scandals.
As Extreme Entertainment has reported, around this time last year, it was revealed Josh had molested underage kids when he was a teen, including sisters Jessa and Jill Duggar. While his reality TV family stood by him amid a public backlash, it was then revealed in August that Josh had been cheating on his wife. And the “19 Kids and Counting” star confessed not just to infidelity, but also an addiction to pornography.
He subsequently entered an in-patient rehab program, which he completed this past March. Now for the first time since his release, Josh and Anna have released a joint statement on the status of their relationship. The couple says in a message on the Duggar family website, “As we enter into a long family weekend together, we want to thank each of you for the prayers, love and encouragement you’ve sent our way.”
“Since the residential treatment program ended, we have been working with a professional marriage and family counselor to take important steps toward healing,” they continue. “It isn’t easy and some days are very difficult. It is a long road to rebuild trust and a truly healthy relationship. We are very thankful for God’s forgiveness, grace and help, as it is our strength and guide to rebuilding our lives.”
Josh and Anna add, “As the future unfolds, we are taking one day at a time and we are grateful for your continued prayers for both of us and our sweet children.” They ended the statement “with gratitude.” The couple is currently living in Arkansas with their four children.
Though Anna has appeared on the spinoff series “Counting On,” Josh remains off-screen. They are pictured above in February 2015, before both scandals.
