Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose, is refuting Amber Heard’s abuse claims. On Sunday, the actress and model posted a photo on Instagram of herself as a baby with her dad, along with a caption that reads, “My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know.” Lily-Rose added, “He’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same.”
As Extreme Entertainment noted earlier, Lily-Rose’s mother,Vanessa Paradis, similarly came to Depp’s defense. In an open letter, Paradis said the actor had “never been physically abusive” during their 14-year relationship, which ended in 2012 when Depp began seeing Heard. Like Lily-Rose, Paradis similarly swore Depp is “a sensitive, loving and loved person.”
Last week, Heard filed for divorce from Depp after just 15 months of marriage. She later alleged he was verbally and physically abusive during their brief union, accusing Depp of even hurling an iPhone that she claimed left a bruise on her face. Depp has not responded to Heard’s allegations.
Much like his daughter Lily-Rose and ex-partner Paradis, a number of stars have rallied around Depp. Mickey Rourke said on Friday, Depp is “not a violent guy,” and Paul Bettany, who starred alongside the actor in three movies, tweeted on Saturday, “He’s the sweetest, kindest, gentlest man that I’ve ever known.” Extreme Entertainment will continue to cover the various twists and turns in this ongoing story.
