The 2016 “Red Nose Day Special” airs on Thursday, and Extreme Entertainment has a live stream of the telethon!
Airing on NBC, the second annual star-studded event will draw attention to child hunger and poverty both in the United States and worldwide. Money raised during the telethon will aid kids in poor communities across the globe by providing food, shelter, and educational tools. Last year, the first time the Red Nose Day campaign took place in the U.S., an astounding $23 million came in for the Red Nose Day Fund.
Craig Ferguson will be leading the charge to top that amount this time around. The former “Late Late Show” host will emcee the two-hour broadcast, which will feature performances from Blake Shelton and Elton John. Julia Roberts and Ludacris will share their experiences with helping youth in Phoenix and Atlanta, respectively.
And more than 60 other celebrities will appear either live or in pre-taped bits. Among those who signed on to participate are Jay Leno, Mila Kunis, Celine Dion, Bono, Vince Vaughn, Ashton Kutcher, Malin Akerman, Connie Britton, Mel B, Mandy Moore, Jeff Goldblum, Trevor Noah, Tony Hale, Tyler Perry, Kobe Bryant, and Margot Robbie. Viewers can also expect to see Sarah Silverman, Jack Black, Zac Efron, Ellen DeGeneres, Anna Kendrick, Julianne Moore, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Kristen Bell, Will Ferrell and Chloe Grace Moretz.
There will also be a sketch featuring the cast of “The Walking Dead.” Through comedy, music and a honest representation of what life is like for too many kids, this one night can really make a difference. Watch the live stream below!
