Sean Hayes opened up about playing God and the 10th anniversary of the “Will & Grace” finale in a very funny interview on Monday’s “Good Morning America.” Watch below!
Hayes is currently starring in the Broadway comedy An Act of God, which led the “GMA” staffers to put a goblet on set with him. But when the always-improvising actor poured water into the chalice to drink from it, it actually started leaking. That was just one of the impromptu moments that kept anchor Lara Spencer on her toes.
Spencer later tried to segue into a discussion about “Will & Grace,” but confused star Eric McCormack with his character Will Truman, which led Hayes to amusingly make fun of her. “It’s okay, it’s still early,” he cracked.
Reflecting on the NBC hit’s milestone, Hayes admitted, “I didn’t even know it was the 10-year anniversary. I found out like a week before or something. but it’s wonderful.” He went on, “I miss everybody there. It was such a good time and such blessing, and I’m glad we got to do it.”
“It was nice to be a part of something for so long that meant something,” Hayes added. Check out the video below for the full segment.
