Shaquille O’Neal channels Jennifer Beals from Flashdance on this Thursday’s “Lip Sync Battle,” during which the former NBA player performs Michael Sembello’s “Maniac.” Watch a teaser from the episode below!
O’Neal dresses up as Beals’ character and recreates her dance moves from a famous scene from the 1983 film, which tells the story an exotic dancer whose dream is to get into a real ballet company. The retired basketball player will be competing against Aisha Tyler on the upcoming episode of the popular Spike series, which sees celebrities facing off in a pretend-singing contest. The two songs that Tyler will be lip syncing to, as well as the second tune O’Neal will be fake-sining, have yet to be revealed.
The celebrity competition show is currently in its second season, with this cycle’s famous competitors including Channing Tatum versus his wife Jenna Dewan, Kevin Hart against Olivia Munn, Josh Gad with Kaley Cuoco, Gigi Hadid and Tyler Posey, Katharine McPhee facing Jason Derulo, Gina Rodriguez challenging Wilmer Valderrama, Josh Peck taking on Christina Milian, Snoop Dogg battling Chris Paul, and many more.
