The show, which is being hosted by Craig Ferguson, will include comedy and music performances, as well as short films shining a light on young people affected by poverty at home and abroad.
Countless stars will be participating on the special, including Elton John and Blake Shelton, who will be performing special songs, and Julia Roberts, who will be featured in a segment showing her recent trip to visit sick children who can’t afford medical care. Just a few of the other big names also set to appear include Will Ferrell, Ellen DeGeneres, Jack Black, Tracy Morgan, Kobe Bryant, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Bono, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Vince Vaughn, Sarah Silverman, Margot Robbie, Celine Dion, Anna Kendrick and many more!
Red Nose Day was launched in the U.K. and has raised more than $1 billion worldwide over the past 25 years. In its first year in America in 2015, more than $23 million was raised for the Red Nose Day Fund. The money helps support projects to aide children in some of the poorest communities around world. In addition to the stars, people everywhere can support the cause by donating during the TV special, as well as buying red noses sold exclusively at Walgreens stores nationwide.
