T.I. Concert Marred By Gunfire At New York’s Irving Plaza

T.I. concert ended before the rapper could even take the stage on Wednesday night, as shots rang out at New York famed Irving Plaza. Police say four people were injured during the gunfire. Extreme Entertainment is told one man was shot in the chest, and a woman was hit in the leg. There’s currently no information about the other two individuals who were shot.
At approximately 10 p.m., there was an argument in the balcony of the venue, which was filled to capacity with approximately 1,000 waiting for T.I. to perform. Next, eyewitnesses say there were gunshots. From what Extreme Entertainment has learned, four people were hit. The man and woman who were shot were taken to Bellevue hospital, with the former in critical condition and the latter in stable condition. We have no information yet about the other two who were injured. There are also no details about what prompted the argument.
As of now, the police do not have any suspects in custody. Earlier on Wednesday, T.I. had taped a segment airing on Wednesday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The hip hop artist has yet to comment on social media about the shootings at his concert. Extreme Entertainment will update this story.
