Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are NOT “battling” over having a baby, despite a new tabloid report. Extreme Entertainment can debunk this story, just like we have many similar ones in years past.
This latest version can be found in Wedesday’s new edition of In Touch, which writes that the couple’s “bitter fight over starting family is destroying their marriage.” It’s specifically claimed that de Rossi “isn’t on the same page” with DeGeneres’ refusal to have kids, and has begun “begging” her for a baby. “It’s led to some of their nastiest fights yet,” claims the magazine.
“Portia has always dreamed of becoming a mother and desperately wants to try to carry the child herself,” a so-called “source” alleges. “But Ellen is absolutely opposed to it.” The outlet goes on to say, “Portia first brought up he topic in an attempt to save their crumbling eight-year marriage. But all it’s done is tear the couple further apart.”
Claims the supposed snitch, “She really thought a baby would bring them back together. But things are so bad right now that they’re barely speaking. And when they do, it just ends in a blowout fight. No matter how many times they talk about it, they just can’t seem to come to an agreement. Everyone is worried they will split up over this.”
Actually, it’s In Touch that’s split from the facts. DeGeneres and de Rossi have always been “on the same page,” unlike the magazine. The tabloid has been playing this baby angle for years (just check our archives), and has never been right about it.
