Robert Pattinson is so loyal to the franchise that made him an A-lister, he never speaks badly about it!
It’s easy to make fun of Twilight for being frivolous sometimes, but Robert Pattinson will never speak badly about the role that made him one of the most famous actors in the world, his Bel Ami directors revealed during a recent interview.
“He has genuinely never said anything negative about Twilight but no one wants to be in a franchise for ever,” Rob’s director, Declan Donnellan, told the London Evening Standard, explaining that Rob, 25, wants to “expand as an actor.”
In fact, Rob wanted to branch out to a more complex character so badly, he even took a pay cut to work on Bel Ami, plus he put in a lot of time preparing.
“He read the novel and also a book I wrote about acting,” Donnellan said, adding, “and he insisted on four weeks of one-on-one rehearsal before we shot anything, which is unheard of in Hollywood.”
We love hearing about Rob being grounded. He’s the best — we can’t wait to see him in one of his most challenging roles yet when Bel Ami hits theaters in the United States!
