Lana Del Rey Twitter Hacked

Lana Del Rey is the latest celebrity to have her Twitter hacked. On Tuesday, a series of inflammatory tweets were sent from the singer’s account. See screengrab below.
“otf gang bruh,” read the first message, followed by, “lana del GAY.” Other tweets read, “all muslims are terrorists smh #otf,” “bush did 911,” and “sw4ylol on ya forehead.” There were also explicit messages about sex.
All the tweets were deleted within minutes. The hacking follows similar incidents with Katy Perry, Kylie Jenner, and Drake’s respective accounts. While it’s not known if the same person is responsible for all the security breaches, there are some similarities.
“Sw4ylol” also appeared in the tweets sent from Perry’s account last week, while the graphic comments about sex resembled messages sent on Jenner’s feed on Sunday. And in addition to these cases, there have also been at least two Twitter death hoaxes due to hackings.
As Extreme Entertainment reported, someone accessed the Tenacious D Twitter account to falsely announce the death of Jack Black last weekend. And on Tuesday, before Del Rey’s hacking, a hacker used the NFL account to wrongly claim that commissioner Roger Goodell had died. The NFL has since confirmed he is alive and just fine.
Twitter has not publicly commented on this spate of hackings, but Extreme Entertainment will continue to monitor. See a screengrab showing some of the since-deleted tweets from Del Rey’s account below.
