Matt Damon and Kristen Wiig are NOT feuding on the set of their new movie because he supposedly “doesn’t get” her sense of humor, despite a phony tabloid report.Extreme Entertainment can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “nonsense.”
Damon and Wiig are currently filming the comedy, Downsizing, but according to OK!, there’s tension between the two off-camera. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Matt’s kind of thrown off by Kristen’s quirkiness. He just doesn’t have a clue how to deal with her… And it’s making for a difficult shoot.”
The magazine’s seemingly phony source further claims that Damon gets annoyed because he “can never tell whether Kristen’s being sarcastic. He says talking to her is exhausting, because he’s always trying to figure out if he’s supposed to laugh.” The outlet’s “insider” goes on to allege that as soon as the cameras stop rolling, “Matt books it to his trailer. He doesn’t want to spend any more time with her than he has to.”
But Extreme Entertainment checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us that Damon and Wiig get along very well, and the tabloid’s report is pure “nonsense.” Additionally, the magazine’s premise that Damon doesn’t understand deadpan humor is completely flawed, as the actor has been playing along for years in a running gag that he’s in a feud with Jimmy Kimmel.
This also isn’t the first time OK! has attempted to create a nonexistent issue between Wiig and one of her co-stars. Extreme Entertainment previously debunked the tabloid’s false claim that the actress was engaged in an “epic feud” with Leslie Jones on the set of the new Ghostbustersreboot. The tabloid’s latest report involving Damon and Wiig is simply another bogus attempt to arbitrarily pit two famous people against each other.
