Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were NOT planning to adopt a seventh child shortly before their split in order to save their marriage, despite a made-up webloid report. Extreme Entertainment can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
As Extreme Entertainment reported, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on Monday after two years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. HollywoodLife is now recycling an inaccurate In Touch story (that we already debunked) to falsely allege Brangelina had been trying to prevent a breakup through adoption. The webloid regurgitates a quote from a so-called “source,” who told the magazine, “At one point they were considering adding a seventh child to their brood via adoption to reinforce their bond.”
The tabloid’s seemingly fake insider further claimed Pitt and Jolie were considering adopting an older kid from either “South Africa, Burundi, or Ethiopia.” “They feel that by adopting a child who is 10 or older, he or she will mix in better with their rambunctious kids, who are getting bigger by the day,” said the outlet’s supposed source. But Extreme Entertainment checked in with a rep for Pitt when this phony report first emerged, and we were exclusively told Pitt and Jolie were not adopting a child from Africa. Once again we hear there were never any additional adoption plans, and all claims otherwise are simply “not true.”
