The story can be found in this week’s National Enquirer, which bizarrely made the headline about Stefani’s boyfriend, Blake Shelton. It reads, “Blake Love Child Scandal!” The article further touts, “Home-wrecking nanny (and new mom) plagues his girlfriend Gwen.”
“A love-child scandal is mucking up country stud Blake Shelton’s romance with pop hottie Gwen Stefani,” writes the supermarket tabloid. The magazine then explains, “The nanny who stole Gwen’s ex-husband has given birth to a bouncing baby boy,” before claiming, “Gwen is heartbroken.” “It’s like Gwen’s suffering never ends,” says the publication’s so-called “source.”
The outlet’s supposed snitch goes on, “Now her children’s nanny, whom she once loved and trusted, is out cooing about her new baby. This is the woman who ruined Gwen’s marriage, and she can’t bear to see her so happy.” And what does this have to do with Shelton? Well, he’s said to be “distraught over Gwen’s agony.”
“Gwen just doesn’t know if she can handle another scandal, and Blake wants to take her to their new love nest in Oklahoma to get away from it all,” adds the alleged tipster. But there is no new scandal for Stefani, much less for Shelton.
Stefani’s ex-nanny had a baby with her fiancé. It has nothing to do with either singer, and the No Doubt front woman isn’t focused on it in the least, nor would she begrudge a new mother her understandable happiness. A rep for Stefani exclusively tells Extreme Entertainment that the National Enquirer’s absurd story is “untrue.”
