Kristen Stewart is NOT guest starring on “The Vampire Diaries,” despite a bogus report. Extreme Entertainment can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
Nina Dobrev headlined the first six seasons of the supernatural CW series, but the actress didn’t return for Season 7. There are rumors, however, that she will reprise her character for the show’s upcoming eighth and final season, but the network has yet to make an official casting announcement. But according to the website, FX NewsCall, Dobrev definitely isn’t coming back and producers are looking to replace her with an even bigger star.
Without a single source to back up this claim, the outlet says Stewart is “in negotiations” with the CW to “appear for a couple of episodes” on the upcoming season. “The producers wanted someone who has experience and Stewart’s success with Twilight immediately comes to mind,” adds the site, which makes no mention of how it gathered this supposed scoop.
But Extreme Entertainment did check in with a source close to Stewart, who exclusively tells us the actress isn’t in talks for a role on “The Vampire Diaries,” and the report is simply “not true.” Season 8 of “The Vampire Diaries” premieres October 21 on the CW, just don’t expect an appearance from Stewart, who’s currently busy with a handful of film projects.
