Now that Johnny Depp played the Mad Hatter and Willy Wonka, he's is ready to take on a really wild role: Dr. Suess.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Depp, 48, has signed on to produce a film about the life of the beloved children's book author -- and he might take a step in front of the camera as well.
The stories of Dr. Suess, whose real name was Theodore Geisel, have long made for popular feature films.

Indeed, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "Horton Hears A Who" and "The Cat in the Hat" have all made it onto the silver screen. Currently, a 3-D adaptation of the author's "The Lorax" is in post-production. That film will star Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Betty White and Taylor Swift.
Kids' books are surely something Depp knows plenty about. The actor has two children, Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9.
