Lady Gaga Visited The White House To Discuss Anti-Bullying Campaign:

Lady Gaga is stepping up her efforts to launch an anti-bullying campaign: she visited the White House to discuss her plans. The suicide of gay teenager Jamye Rodemeyer has motived the ‘Born This Way‘ singer. She met with one of President Obama’s advisors, Valerie JarrettAfter the meeting Valerie said:
“Lady Gaga has described this cause as a personal one – she has said that as a child, she was often picked on for being different. I am deeply moved by the way she has used her story, and her success, to inspire young people, and shine the spotlight on important issues.”
The Trevor Project, a non-profit company that offers suicide preventionservices, recently honored Lady Gaga as well for her advocacy on behalf of the gay and lesbian community and anti-bullying efforts.
“Our young people are at the centre of a health crisis, and vocal leaders like Lady Gaga and technology leaders likeGoogle Inc. have stepped up to help change our culture. Our honorees are working with the Trevor Project to make a better today and a brighter tomorrow for youth. We are proud to honor Lady Gaga with the Trevor Hero Award.”
