Remember when I told you how Russell Brand stood to get about $20 million from Katy Perry, given her earnings, California’s automatic 50/50 division of marital property, and the couple NOT having a prenup?
It turns out Katy can breathe a sigh of relief: Russell doesn’t want any of her money. A source told TMZ:
“This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person).” He doesn’t want Katy’s money. He’s happy to walk away with the money he earned — which is far less than what Katy raked in.
Good for Russell! I could understand him wanting something if he had nothing, but he’s a millionaire in his own right (just not as big of one as she is), so good for him for not getting greedy. He really does seem to be looking for peace
