In anticipation of next summer’s blockbuster release of “The Lone Ranger” on May 31st, 2013, the photo above was released via Jerry Bruckheimer’s twitter to give fans just a glimpse of Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as the Lone Ranger.
We can see Johnny as Tonto seated upon his steed in full Native American painted face with an extremely interesting head piece, and Armie as The Lone Ranger himself beside him. The photo was taken in Monument Valley, UT, even though it is hard to tell because it was taken from below so it is just the desert sky in the background.
The film is directed by Gore Verbinski, who also directed the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films, so we can only imagine what kind of exciting film “The Lone Ranger” will be!
