Ice Age 4: Continental Drift Expected to Win Weekend Over Spider-Man and Ted


Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, the latest installment in the hugely successful animated franchise, is expected to score a box office win in its opening weekend.
The toon should debut with approximately $42 million, good enough to top two very strong holdovers in The Amazing Spider-Man ($32 million) and Ted ($20 million).
Pixar’s Brave is on its way to $11 million and fourth place, ahead of male stripper sagaMagic Mike ($8.5 million).
Oliver Stone’s drug trade epic Savages is tracking toward $8 million and the #6 spot.
Madea’s Witness Protection should be next with about $5.5 million, to be followed by Katy Perry: Part of Me ($4 million).
The Top 10 chart finishes with yet another animated animal movie Madagascar 3 ($3.5 million) and Moonrise Kingdom ($3.1 million).
