After seeing Erin Brockovich’s mug shot, it’s hard to believe that Julia Roberts played this woman on the big screen.

The environmental activist, who successfully fought Pacific Gas & Electric in 1993 for polluting the water supply of a small California town, was arrested late Friday night on the suspicion that she was boating while drunk. The Nevada Department of Wildlife says her blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit of .08.
The 52-year-old was later released after post $1,000 bail. Erin issued a statement Sunday saying “there was no public safety risk” and she apologized for her actions saying, “I take drunk driving very seriously, this was clearly a big mistake, I know better and I am very sorry. After a day in the sun and with nothing to eat it appears that a couple of drinks had a greater impact than I had realized.”
