Caroline has been not so gently inserting herself into Teresa and her brother Joe Gorga’s infamous family feud and after lending an ear to Joe, he gives her his blessing to get involved and try to help smooth things over. Caroline decides to call Teresa herself and try to get these two stubborn siblings to make amends for the sake of the familia.
They agree to meet on neutral territory at a local restaurant and they each nervously greet each other hello and try to utter out some niceties. Caroline gets right down to why she called this meeting, saying that Teresa’s brother Joe asked her to speak with Teresa. Teresa says “He’s really scraping the bottom of the barrel” to which Caroline replies “thank you.”
Not a good way to start off, but Caroline forges ahead saying that Joe is actually really hurting and Teresa basically says that she never meant to hurt anyone and everyone really needs to apologize to her. And just to really make the viewers laugh, Teresa says that she never holds grudges and always forgives and forgets. Caroline was actually able to keep a straight face through that delusional statement, and tells her if she takes the first step in making peace Joe and his wife Melissa will accept her with open arms and Teresa says they have to meet her half way.
Caroline writes in her blog Monday, “Teresa and I have a long history that spans over many years. We have both experienced the highs and lows that each and every one of us has in the game of life. We have laughed together, cried together, fought for and against one another too. Regardless of where we are in our lives, I can’t sit and watch this family disintegrate. The bottom line is they do love each other and are both fiercely devoted to their respective husband and wife, children, mom and dad.”

Melissa Gorga weighs in and writes, “Caroline and Teresa had their talk. I appreciated Caroline’s going to bat for us. She’s dealt with a lot of the same issues in her own family and felt personally motivated to preventing it from getting worse in ours. The two of them have been friends for a long time and had a lot of air to clear. At first it felt like she was getting too involved, but now you can see her heart was in the right spot.”
