An obsessed fan of Miranda Kerr was arrested after he allegedly revealed his plans to kill the Victoria’s Secret model.
Steven C. Swanson of Cape Cod, Massachusetts reportedly called the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and informed the dispatch officer he was plotting to fly cross-country in July and murder the star with two .45-caliber handguns.
He told police he would fly from Logan Airport in Boston to Los Angeles and “turn the place upside down,” according to the Cape Cod Times.
Swanson allegedly referred to Kerr as his “soulmate” and “wife” during the phone call.
Cape Cod police picked up Swanson at his home after the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department alterted them to his threats.
When cops arrived at his home, he reportedly told them he was going to California to “rescue” Kerr, and also claimed to be a federal agent.
Swanson is said to have had photos of the model on his refrigerator, microwave and bookshelf.
A doctor testified at Swanson’s arraignment on Wednesday that he suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and had been off his medication for months.
Swanson pled not guilty to making a threat with a firearm.
He’s currently undergoing a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation.
