Paula Deen Thanks Food Network For “11 Great Years” After Getting Fired For N-Word

Paula Deen has thanked the Food Network for “11 great years” together after news broke on Friday that her contract will not be renewed in light of Deen’s admission that she’s used the N-word.
The kitchen personality spent much of the day releasing video apologies for her past sins, but the Food Network still decided to cut ties.
In a statement, Deen expressed gratitude for her time on the air.
I would like to thank The Food Network for 11 great years. Because of the gift The Food Network gave me, I have had the pleasure of being allowed into so many homes across the country and meeting people who have shared with me the most touching and personal stories,” said Deen.
She added, “This would not have been possible without the Food Network. Thank you again. Love and best dishes to all of ya’ll.”
Deen hosted “Paula’s Home Cooking,” “Paula’s Party” and “Paula’s Best Dishes” on Food Network.
