Monsters University, the Pixar prequel to Monsters Inc., is on pace to top zombies and Superman at the box office this weekend.
According to early estimates, the animated family film is tracking toward nearly $80 million in its debut.
World War Z, the zombie pandemic epic starring Brad Pitt, is currently projected to hit approximately $62 million in its debut.
Meanwhile, last week’s champ, Man of Steel, is expected to hit the $42 million mark.
