Sandra Bullock opens up in the October issue of Vogue about her ex-husband Jesse James’ cheating scandal, baby Louis and her upcoming film Gravity.
Looking back on James’ slew of affairs and the pair’s divorce, the actress shares, “We’re all where we’re supposed to be. I am exactly where I want to be now. You can’t go backward. I’m not going backward.”
Bullock offers, “Nobody can be prepared for anything. If you end up in a place where you can look back and go, ‘It happened, but I’m so lucky to be sitting where I am sitting.”
The star goes on to discuss welcoming baby Louis in 2010, saying that after working on the adoption for years, she received a phone call one day and then he immediately arrived.
She reveals,“There was no crib, nothing. It was amazing how you just kick in and go, ‘This is it.’”
Although Bullock’s career is as busy as ever, the Oscar winner says she will not let it hinder Louis’ childhood.
“I think this business can take the child out of kids so quickly,” muses the star, who adds, “I don’t want him to have pressures brought on by what I do. I will quit. I will leave. If I see whatever I’m doing affecting him negatively, I will pack up and move to Alaska.”
Bullock also discusses her upcoming film Gravity, which is already generating Oscar buzz.
She calls the movie a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity, saying “You check it off and go, ‘If it ends here, I’ve ended up on top.’ There’s nothing else to do.”
