Jake Gyllenhaal was bandaged but smiling at a movie event in Los Angeles on Friday, just two days after he had to be taken to the emergency room after smashing a mirror on the set of his film Nightcrawler.
The actor’s left hand was wrapped as he spoke on stage at a screening of Prisoners at ArcLight Hollywood (see photos at right and below).
Gyllenhaal lost about 20 pounds for his Nightcrawler role before Wednesday’s incident took even more of a physical toll.
The actor received stitches after hurting his hand but returned to work later that day.
