Ray Price, the country music legend, has died.
He was 87.
Price had battled pancreatic cancer in recent months and was receiving hospice care.
His death was prematurely reported over the weekend, but his family actually confirmed the sad news on Monday.
According to a Facebook post by country radio icon Bill Mack, who has been in close contact with Price’s family, the singer “went in perfect peace.”
Price’s career spanned decades, peaking in the 1960s, and spawned hits including “For the Good Times,” “Pride,” and “Walk Me to the Door.”
