Fran Drescher is married!
The actress has tied the knot with Shiva Ayyadurai in a small ceremony at their home.
People first confirmed the news.
Drescher wore a Badgley Mischka gown.
The couple met last year when Drescher heard Ayyadurai speak at an event hosted byDeepak Chopra.
As a teenager in 1982, Ayyadurai copyrighted an electronic interoffice message system he dubbed “EMAIL” — leading to subsequent claims that he is one of the inventors of what we now know as modern email.
Drescher was previously married to Peter Marc Jacobson, a writer and producer who co-created Drescher’s 1990s sitcom “The Nanny.”
They split after 21 years of marriage, at which point he came out as gay; the TV Land series “Happily Divorced” is based on their lives.
