Harry Styles’ grandmotherBeryl – known as Nanny S— died this week, and theOne Direction singer’s fans have taken over Twitter to offer their love and support.
“As some of you worked out, Nanny S passed away. H and Gem came to funeral yesterday which was lovely & private,” tweeted Styles’ fatherDes on Saturday. “They both gone to LA now.”
He added, “Thanks for all the message. Mum was 86 and poorly a long time so it was coming but still sad when it does. She is at peace now though.”
#RIPNannyS was a top Twitter trending topic for hours after Beryl’s death was confirmed.
But two other trending topics —#StopMobbingOurBoys and#WeLoveAndRespectYouHarry — also took off as a result of fans scolding overzealous Directioners who had caused chaos around Styles at LAX airport on Friday, not realizing he was returning from a funeral and in mourning.
