Warren G and Kenny G joined forces for “Regulate” on the latest #MashUpMonday from “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” It was an incredible collaboration decades in the making. Watch the video below.
Kenny G’s smooth saxophone provided the perfect soundtrack to Warren G’s beloved 1990s rap. You might think that only a common “last name” unites Warren and Kenny. But when they got going, it became clear they’re on the same page when it comes to regulating the streets. Kenny’s sax also served to help fill in the portion of the track led by the late Nate Dogg. Warren, by the way, is about to go on tour next month with “The G-Funk Experience.”
Kimmel’s musical experimentations on #MashUpMonday have included pairing Weezer and ZZ Top, Haim and Morris Day, and Aloe Blacc with Blackstreet. They’re usually a pretty good time, and Monday’s installment with the two Gs was no different. Check out the clip below, and tell us what you think!
