Justin Timberlake Makes Inspirational Speech, Gives Shout-Out To Jessica Biel At iHeartRadio Music Awards (VIDEO)

Justin Timberlake received the iHeartRadio Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. Watch the video of his tribute and acceptance speech below!
Timberlake was introduced by Tom Ford, who noted the performer’s comedic chops, acting career, and status as a music icon. As Ford sang his praises, Timberlake bashfully shook his head at his table. After a video recapping his career, featuring the likes of Timbaland and Jimmy Fallon and Taylor Swift, Timberlake took the stage to deliver his speech.
He recalled being called “different” and “weird” while growing up, and how his mother taught him that his differences could help him make a difference. After thanking his team, Timberlake quoted Steve Jobs: “Stay hungry, stay foolish.”
He then recalled reading, as a teenager, Theodore Roosevelt’s famous words: “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming.”
Timberlake told any young people watching, who might be called “weird” or worse,” that their critics didn’t count, and to keep going. He closed by thanking his pregnant wife Jessica Biel, whom he called his “favorite collaborator.” Timberlake said, “Honey, I can’t wait to see our greatest creation yet. Don’t worry.
