A fan threw rapper Plies off the stage during his concert in Tallahassee, Florida, on Friday, leading to chaos and violence throughout the crowd. It turned into a crazy, ugly scene. Watch the video below.
The scene unfolded after Plies invited the man up on stage and the fan apparently got too close for the performer’s liking. After a stare-down, the fan grabbed Plies in a bear hug and hurled him from the stage. According to videos later uploaded by the attacker, he felt as though the rapper had been disrespecting him, and that he needed to stand up for himself. See the fan’s defense of his violence below.
Regardless of what instigated the trouble between Plies and the fan, after the incident there were skirmishes throughout the crowd. Security personnel, who had already taken the original attacker from the venue, tried to control the brawling. Interestingly, Plies kept performing after he got back on the stage, despite the violence breaking out in front of him.
As Extreme Entertainment has reported, there have been a number of performer-fan incidents lately, including Kevin Gates fighting a female fan at a concert last week, and Lil Wayne allegedly ordering a security guard to take out a fan at a concert a few days before that.
