Rihanna performed “American Oxygen” on the season finale of “SNL.” The song is slated to be on her upcoming album, rumored to be titled “R8.” Earlier, she sang “Bitch Better Have My Money.” See the video below of Rihanna’s performance of “American Oxygen” on “Saturday Night Live.”
As Rihanna sang onstage, behind her was a screen projecting the video for “American Oxygen.” As Extreme Entertainment has previously reported, the video for “American Oxygen” feature footages from several historical moments in the U.S., including the landing on the moon, the March on Washington, the September 11 attacks, the Bicentennial celebration, President Obama’s inauguration, and President Kennedy’s funeral. Rihanna first performed “American Oxygen” at this year’s NCAA Championship’s March Madness Music Festival in Indianapolis.
As Extreme Entertainment noted, Rihanna has been the musical guest on “SNL” five times, starting in 2009. In 2012 alone, she was musical guest twice, backing guest host Eli Manning first and then Anne Hathaway.
