A new trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2 premiered on Wednesday. Watch below!
Unlike past teasers for the upcoming movie, the new preview exclusively focuses on the relationship Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) has with her sister Prim (Willow Shields). “A sister’s bond is forever. Witness the evolution of Katniss & Prim in #MockingjayPart2,” tweeted the film’s official Twitter account.
As fans know, it was Katniss’ love for Prim that led her into the Hunger Games, volunteering to take her little sister’s place as tribute. After her miraculous survival, she returned home and saw how much Prim had grown in her absence. After Katniss survived her second Games, the sisters were reunited in District 13, where both faced a future more uncertain than ever.
Now the highly-anticipated final installment in the franchise will have the siblings facing their biggest challenges yet, changing their relationship forever. The stirring trailer shows just how far Katniss and Prim have come since the first movie, and how far they still have to go. “This November, her sacrifice is the ultimate tribute,” announces the clip.
Katniss herself says, “I never asked for this. I just wanted to save my sister.” Indeed. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2 opens on November 20, with tickets going on sale October 1. Check out the trailer below, and tell us what you think.
