“The Jungle Book” Trailer: Watch First Preview For Disney’s Live-Action Movie

The first teaser trailer for The Jungle Book premiered on Tuesday. Check out the video preview below!
The new movie takes the classic Rudyard Kipling tales and turns them into a live-action adaptation, more than 40 years after the beloved animated Disney film delighted children and parents alike. Disney is on board for this reimagining, which was helmed by Jon Favreau. Newcomer Neel Sethi stars as the young protagonist Mowgli, with Bill Murray voicing the lovable Baloo.
Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Ben Kingsley, and Christopher Walken add to the star-studded cast, further joined by Lupita Nyong’o and Giancarlo Espisito. Disney vows the new movie “seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world.” In addition to Sethi, it’s Johansson’s slithering python Kaa who is most prominent in the first-look.
The movie follows another recent live-action Disney adaptation, Cinderella, which received positive reviews and was met with box office success. Beauty and The Beast, starring Emma Watson, will follow suit in 2017. The Jungle Book is slated to hit theaters on April 15, 2016. Watch the teaser trailer below, and tell us what you think!
