Katy Perry is NOT dumping Orlando Bloom, despite a report falsely claiming she’s “ready to walk” after his “club hookup” with Selena Gomez. Extreme Entertainment can bust the story.
“The bloom is off Orlando Bloom’s love affair with Katy Perry,” writes the National Enquirer. “Just months into his steamy relationship with songbird Katy, Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando was nailed getting hot and heavy with former flame Selena Gomez.” Of course, Gomez is not a “former flame,” nor did she and Bloom get “hot and heavy.”
But continuing with its false premise, the supermarket tabloid quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “It looks like Orlando and Selena have Katy caught up in a real love triangle.” Sure, it may “look” that way, but real outlets base stories on facts, not appearances. But this is the dubious National Enquirer, and so the article goes on to claim that, “Despite Orlando’s assurances that nothing else happened between them, Katy’s ready to kick him to the curb!”
“She knows Orlando has a history with Selena, and this made her question whether he’s really marriage material,” claims the supposed snitch. Indeed, the piece is headlined in this week’s issue, “Selena Snuggle Dooms Bloom’s Romance With Katy.” The sub-headline further states, “Furious Katy ready to walk.”
But far from dumping Bloom, Perry is actually taking their relationship in the exact opposite direction. On Friday, she made things Instagram official, posting a photo with her boyfriend on social media for the first time. And that was after they spent the last several days openly engaging in PDA in Cannes.
Extreme Entertainment is told the couple is “fine,” and that the National Enquirer made up its story just based on a couple of photos. But what do you expect from a tabloid that once claimed Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were fighting because of Perry’s breasts? We rest our case.
